IOCL signed an agreement with the Vadodara-based pizzeria on October 09 with the objective of setting up more than 50 outlets in the highways of Gujarat in the next two years.

"We have 52 retail outlets associated with our petrol pumps across the state. Since over 64% of our sales come from highway-based petrol pumps, we plan to expand non-fuel services there. For this, we plan to form alliances with local players," said Sanjeev Kakkar, general manager of IOCL Gujarat.

The state-owned gas company has already partnered with fast-food chains Cafe Coffee Day and McDonald’s to offer non-fuel products in the urban areas.

And to further diversify its services, it enters into a partnership with a local vacuum cleaning company to offer car wash and detailing services in its gas stations in Gujarat.
