The convenience store chain with stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana will feature a Stunt Series Drone for $49.99.

"We knew drones were expected to be sought-after gifts this year, so we wanted to give our customers an easy way to get one at a great price," said Kim Hertzog, public relations manager at Turkey Hill Minit Markets.

There is an increasing demand for drones as a holiday gift. In fact, as many as 1 million drones are expected to be given for holidays, according to a Forbes article citing a Federal Aviation Administration official.

"Since the demand is high, we'll only be able to have a limited quantity of Stunt Series Drones at each store. But that's just the beginning of the deals for Black Friday at Turkey Hill," added Hertzog.

Almost half (42%) of regular Black Friday customers expect to shop more this holiday season as a result of lower gas prices, according to a recent consumer survey released by the National Association of Convenience Stores.

The National Retail Federation, meanwhile, estimates that 57% of consumers, the highest level since 2008, have already started buying gifts as of early November, reported prnewswire.com.

these drones dont fall with in FAA regulation to be registered for 2 reasons....

1) the weight is below FAA guideline

2) the range sucks ass as in a 100 feet or so.

and among other things, these are not commercial grade drones/quadcopter.. they are an oversized terra micro quad.. theres no need for a pilots license. same with other drones as in the phantom DJI for personal use. I fly RC Planes and yes some of them require to be registered with FAA only because of their weight, but you don't need a pilots license to operate them... and to cite forbes on needing to take the aeronautical exam, this is crap, for what reason would someone need to read and understand aviation charts/ weather charts for personal use. I would say more so if this was intended for commercial use but the quadcopter being sold at turkey his cannot be used in such manner.

good selling point Daniel
