Yesway boosts presence in Texas, Missouri with acquisition of six convenience stores
In line with Yesway’s plans to establish a network of 500 convenience stores in the United States, the c-store chain has recently acquired five Rip Griffin Travel Center Stores in Texas and the State Line Convenience store in Missouri.
The acquisition further establishes Yesway’s footprint in Missouri and Texas and adds to its existing portfolio of 80 locations currently operating in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
“We are very proud of our progress and continued expansion, which we expect will continue at an accelerated pace over the next few months,” said Thomas Nicholas Trkla, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yesway.
The five acquired Rip Griffin Travel Center convenience stores are located at 202 Tahoka Road, Brownfield, Texas; 708 Frontage Road, Idalou, Texas; 4704 4th Street, Lubbock, Texas; 4609 Avenue A, Lubbock, Texas; and Dowden Road & Hwy 82, Wolfforth, Texas; and the State Line Convenience store is located at 1117 State Line Road in Joplin, Missouri.
Des Moines, Iowa-based BW Gas & Convenience, doing business as Yesway, plans to acquire, improve, and rebrand an additional 120 to 130 stores per year over the next several years in order to reach its goal of building a 500-location strong chain of convenience stores.
