Australians NRMA choose Tritium for $10 million EV fast charging network

More than 40 chargers being delivered across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Last update:

The NRMA has begun unlocking New South Wales and other parts of Australia for the growing number of electric vehicle drivers, choosing Australian EV charging specialists Tritium as the supplier of electric vehicle chargers for its $10 million network rollout.

“Until now, electric vehicles have only been practical for short urban journeys, driving only within charging range of their garages or the small number of public fast chargers,” said NRMA Group Chief Executive Officer, Rohan Lund.

The network will be Australia’s largest and is being delivered in partnership with local communities including local councils, small businesses and land owners.

The NRMA fast charger will see at least 40 publicly-accessible sites, with the costs of charging included in NRMA Membership.

Better road and transport infrastructure has been a core focus of the NRMA since 1920 when its founders lobbied for improvements to the condition of Parramatta Road in Sydney. It now provides motoring, mobility, travel and tourism services.
