English Español Jordan: A dozen gas stations in trouble for not providing kerosene

The flagged sites did not provide kerosene to citizens during EMRC’s inspections last week, reports Roya News.

The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners Energy & Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC), Eng. Farouk Hayari, said the EMRC issued violations to 12 gas stations which did not provide a supply of kerosene to citizens, during the commission’s inspections on Friday last week.

In a press statement, EMRC informed that inspectors visited 20 gas depots and a number of gas suppliers, as well as 50 gas stations in the southern areas of Madaba, Karak, Tafila, Ma'an and Aqaba.

EMRC Chariman stressed that it will not tolerate unlawful practices and that it will continue monitoring gas stations throughout the territory.

EMRC has also called on citizens to cooperate with  authorities and to report any complaints about the availability of fuel and kerosene at fuel stations and gas suppliers.
