Rompetrol Bulgaria, part of KMG International Group, has rolled out its 55th fuel station in the country, in the city of Dupnitsa, some 70 kilometres south of Sofia, the company announced.

"The new station is considered a step forward for the comprehensive development programme of Rompetrol Bulgaria," KMGI said in a press release.

The new station features modern facilities and services, using fuels obtained at Romania's Petromidia Navodari - one of the largest and most modern oil refineries in the Black Sea region, KMGI added.

Rompetrol is the main brand of KMG International, whose sole shareholder is Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company KazMunayGas.

Increasing the number of fuel stations is in line with the implementation of Rompetrol Bulgaria's full-scale development plan for 2019, said director general of Rompetrol Bulgaria, Ivaylo Trendafilov.
Rompetrol Bulgaria said in July that its net loss widened to $1.2 million euro in 2018 , following a slight decrease in revenue.

Last year, Bulgaria's competition regulator allowed Rompetrol Bulgaria to lease five filling stations from local peer Synergon Petroleum. In Southeast Europe, KMG International Group also operates in Romania and Moldova.
