United Kingdom’s independently owned retail brand Nisa announced it recruited more than 620 stores in 2020, “delivering a significant uplift on the previous year”, according to a company’s press release.

Key drivers for the growth include Nisa’s capacity to serve a broad spectrum of retail and wholesale operators with different store formats, its availability levels throughout the pandemic, and access to more than 2,000 Co-op own brand products label proposition for retailers, says the release.

2020 key developments for Nisa include the launch of the new Nisa Express format in October, with more than 60 new Nisa Express being recruited, 131 Nisa stores being converted to the latest Evolution format, the recruiting of large multi-site key accounts including Ascona Group, Touts and the Highland Group, and expanding its long-term relationship with brands Amacor and PGNJ Ltd.

With the recruitment of new stores continuing to be a key focus for the company, Nisa announced that further investment has been made in this area in the form of additional resource within the recruitment team, and the formation of a new induction team dedicated to supporting new partners during their transition process to Nisa.
