English Español Q1 opens four new charging points in Münster

The fuel retailer has partnered with Technologieförderung Münster GmbH to expand its e-mobility solutions throughout its retail network.

Last update:

Q1 has expanded its charging capabilities with the opening of four new charging points in the city of Münster, Germany.

The retailer has partnered with Technologieförderung Münster GmbH to establish its 50th charging point into operation. The parties found each other via the area tool from the National Charging Infrastructure Control Center.

The area tool is a digital platform that provides information about properties in Germany that are potentially available for the installation of charging infrastructure. Companies, private individuals and also municipalities can draw attention to themselves and present areas for the installation of charging stations. Charging point operators and installers have the opportunity to apply for these properties.

"We now operate more than 50 charging stations at 35 locations. And in the future, the Q1 fast charging network will continue to grow significantly in order to get closer to our goal of a climate-neutral product portfolio every day," said Sebastian Herkenhoff, Head of Sustainable Energies at Q1.

Four Q1 charging stations with a total of eight charging points have been created in the parking lot of Technologieförderung Münster, a subsidiary of Wirtschaftsförderung Münster. The charging stations were installed in cooperation with the brand's long-standing partner Gollub Anlagentechnik from Bielefeld.
