The company is adding a range of electric trucks to its fleet to experiment with throughout the year.

Last update:

Lekkerland Netherlands has completed its first 100% electric delivery as it intends to experiment with several electric trucks they have added to their fleet recently.

Its latest addition is the Mercedes-Benz eActros, which is the first to be put into service. The company already has a long history of optimizing its vehicles and their deployment, and will also add an e-Scania and an electric Iveco Daily throughout the year.

The eActros 400L features four batteries with a total capacity of approximately 448 kWh, which can cover up to 400 km at a Gross Combination Weight (GCW) of 27 tons.

"At our new distribution center in Waddinxveen, which will be completed in September, we are building a state-of-the-art scalable loading facility that can be expanded modularly in the future. Because every kilometer counts on our way to zero-emission," said John van den Berg, Director of Operations Lekkerland Netherlands.

Lekkerland’s new distribution center also includes 10,800 solar panels on the roof that serve as the main energy source for the charging facility and also for the heat pump installed in the building.
