Gas Natural Fenosa opens sixth CNG station in Madrid
Spain-based Gas Natural Fenosa has opened its sixth CNG station in Madrid which will supply the general public and has capacity to refuel 220 light vehicles daily.
“In the next weeks we will start up two other stations in the Madrid districts of Villaverde and Moncloa, completing an offer of eight stations in Madrid,” the company said.
The natural gas is compressed “at a pressure of 200 bar” and the station is accessible 24-hour per day year-round.
“The new station final aspect is that of a structure of reduced size and with a modern design that integrates to its urban surroundings,” the company said.
There are 42 public stations of natural gas in Spain and 27 of those are run by Gas Natural Fenosa, the company added.
CNG can be up to 50% cheaper than fuels based on crude oil products, the company said.
