Wawa c-stores now offer credit cards
Convenience store chain Wawa has started offering credit cards that give discounts on Wawa gasoline, reported the Press of Atlantic City.
The Wawa credit card, which is a product of the company’s partnership with global bank Citi, can be used at more than 700 Wawa c-stores/gas stations in the United States.
By using the card at Wawa’s gas stations, consumers can get a 25 cent-a-gallon discount, up to 100 gallons per month, for the first two months. Starting January 2015, consumer will get a 5-cent discount per gallon with a maximum of 100 gallons per month.
It can also be used to buy coffee, sandwiches, and all products available in a Wawa store.
The key objective of the credit cards, according to Bill O’Donnell, the company’s retail-fuel director, is to reward customer loyalty and to keep customers loyal.
The credit card offering was launched alongside the opening of Wawa’s new store at Route 3 and Five Points Road, Pennsylvania on October 09, according to Daily Local News.
The dairy farm turned c-store chain and now gas station giant plans to open 25 Wawa establishments in Florida and 25 in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware and Virginia.
