Netherlands: SPAR opens its first Express store at a Texaco station

SPAR Netherlands has opened its first SPAR Express forecourt store in Geertruidenberg, in the province of North Brabant.

SPAR has opened its first Express forecourt store in the Netherlands after it reached a partnership agreement with fuel retailer EFR, reports EPR Retail News.

The Express stores will be installed at Texaco service stations, operated by EFR, across the Netherlands.

“The new SPAR Express stores are going to be grocery stores where you can also fill up the car and not the other way round”, said SPAR Netherlands Commercial Director, Susanne Kroon.

Following the launch of the Geertruidenberg forecourt store, two additional SPAR Express stores will open shortly in the Netherlands, one in The Hague and another in Amstelveen.
