The new services stations will operate under the Musafir logo. Each site will be built on an area of 30,000 square metres in the Wilayats of Al Suwaiq, Saham, Liwa, Haima and Maqshan.

The seven integrated service stations will include several gas pumps, a commercial service centre, maintenance centre, car service, hotel restrooms and park, mosque, public parking and other services for road users, according to several news outlets.

The Ministry of Housing said in a statement online: "Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Shabibi, Minister of Housing, signed seven agreements to establish integrated service stations (fuel filling stations) in Al Batinah Expressway and Adam-Thumrait Road within the long-term benefit system for companies winning a public bidding to provide basic services to road users."
