Air Liquide Biogas Solution Europe appoints new GM

The biogas sector is experiencing strong growth, driven by a significant demand for renewable energy from both industry and the transport sector.

GianLuca Cremonesi has been appointed General Manager of Air Liquide Biogas Solutions Europe.

Already President of Air Liquide Italy since 2017, the new role will see Cremonesi take the lead of the group’s dedicated entity to developing the biogas sector in Europe.

The biogas sector is experiencing strong growth, driven by a significant demand for renewable energy from both industry and the transport sector.

Over the past few years, Air Liquide Biogas Solutions Europe has developed a unique know-how that covers the entire biogas value chain, from production to distribution, and embarked on promising local circular economy projects.

The appointment of Cremonesi aims to give new impetus to the development projects existing in the area, which are part of a circular economy: the development model put in place field in Italy in fact aims to create partnerships with agricultural operators in order to enhance agricultural and livestock waste, using them within the biomethane production plants destined, in the form of Bio-LNG (Bio-Liquefied Natural Gas), to transport.
