UAE: ZOOM introduces drive-through at ENOC fuel stations

The first service will pilot at a ENOC’s fuel station located in Dubai, with plans to introduce the concept in selected sites in the UAE in the coming months.

ZOOM, UAE’s home-grown convenience store, is introducing drive-through service at ENOC fuel stations in Dubai, adding contactless purchase solutions of groceries and everyday essentials, according to a company’s press release.

The first drive through service will pilot at a ENOC’s service station located at Al Aweer, Dubai, with plans to introduce the concept in selected stations in the UAE in the coming months.

The new service is geared towards leveraging the power of digitisation to provide new contactless solutions amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which significantly impacted the retail sector’s consumer habits, says ENOC Group’s CEO, Saif Humaid Al Falasi.

The new drive through service will enable customers to shop from ZOOM at ENOC service stations and collect their order from their cars. Once the order is placed, customers can either drive up to the window to pick up their order or wait in the designated parking space where a ZOOM staff-member will deliver the order to their vehicle.

Recently, ZOOM partnered with Talabat and NowNow to facilitate contactless home delivery across the UAE.

Launched in 2009, ZOOM has a variety of formats from service station c-stores to mini marts and stores on the Metro network, as well as large scale standalone supermarkets in several residential communities and high-end locations.
