South Korea’s leading energy company GS Caltex launched the beta version of its Energy Plus app to enhance customer convenience with simple fueling and vehicle management services. With the full version scheduled to be released for all drivers in September this year, the beta version will be piloted among 1,000 customers until the end of August, says GS Caltex.

During the beta service period, the app features will be available at about 240 directly-managed gas stations. By the end of this year, GS Caltex plans to expand it to more than 800 gas stations, including non-directly managed locations.

The main function of the Energy Plus app, the 'Refueling right away' service, allows customers to order and pay for fuel at once by scanning a barcode or entering a pin number at a gas station. According to GS Caltex, this feature’s main difference from other similar solutions is that it does not require a gas station to be designated and reserved in advance.

The beta version also includes a 'Concierge' service that can assist you with refueling, car washing and parking at once leaving the car's key with a dedicated employee. This feature is being tested at the GS Tower in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

The soon-to-be launched official version will also offer exclusive benefits to GS Caltex’s membership program affiliates.
