HAM Group, a leading company in the natural gas vehicle (NGV) sector in Europe, recently installed its first NGV refuelling station in the Scandinavian region. Located in Mikkeli, Finland, the station will supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to customers of the company Etelä-Savon Energia Oy.

The refuelling station in Mikkeli, the largest city in the South Savonia region, will offer refuelling for trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. The installation has an 80m3 vertical tank, according to HAM.

The design by HAM Cryogenics, a subdivision of the HAM Group, would allow for the expansion of the refuelling station with a second LNG dispenser. The facility also acts as a satellite plant providing natural gas to an adjacent factory.

HAM Group's network of stationary and mobile NGV refuelling stations spans Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. According to HAM, every fourth LNG refuelling station in Europe today has been built by the company.
