English Español USA: Shell Fleet Solutions acquires Instafuel

The oil company has purchased the Texas-based firm that focuses on fuel delivery for fleets to expand its services from coast to coast.

Last update:

Shell Fleet Solutions announced it has acquired Instafuel, a company based in Houston, Texas, that focuses on fuel delivery for fleets and independent vehicles. The news was made public through an announcement on LinkedIn by the oil company.

Instafuel is a mobile fuel delivery service for any size fleet. Fleet managers can get access to real-time fuel data using their auto-logging technology. This allows fleets to track every gallon of fuel, eliminating the need for fuel cards, reducing the amount of man hours used for refuelling fleets, and eliminates cross-filling with Fuel-Detection Technology.

“We’re excited to announce Shell’s acquisition of mobile fueling business, Instafuel. Together in tandem with Shell TapUp, we’re able to expand our mobile fueling services coast to coast,” published the company through its LinkedIn profile. The acquisition will help Shell in expanding its operations throughout the U.S.

Instafuel’s real-time fuel data also helps reduce the risk of fraud and, as mentioned in its post, will expand the offsetting of CO emissions from the ShellTapUp fleet through its Nature-Based Solutions program.
