Chevron U.S.A. opened its second compressed natural gas station in the state of California, increasing availability of lower carbon fuels to heavy duty vehicles.

This newest site is a collaboration between the firm and Valley Pacific, one of California’s largest fuel marketers. The firm plans to have 30 CNG stations in the state by 2025 in an effort to produce 40,000 million BTUs of RNG per day by 2030.

“Chevron is expanding our production of renewable natural gas (RNG) which will reduce carbon intensity even further. Chevron’s farm-to-fuel offerings will help our customers meet their lower-carbon goals,”  said Nuray Elci, General Manager for Renewables at Chevron.

The brand’s CNG efforts complement the strength of its traditional products business with new offerings that help customers support a lower carbon future. CNG and RNG are considered essential technologies in this portfolio of solutions by the company.

With 148 Chevron and six Texaco locations, Valley Pacific is a key Chevron fuel marketer in California.
