Electric vehicle charging solutions provider Spirii has been acquired by Edenred, one of the world's largest providers of B2B mobility and digital payment solutions.

The acquisition is set to fast-track electrification and decarbonization in the transportation sector across Europe, the US, and Latin America. At the same time, this new partnership will help the company enter a new phase of global expansion.

“Together with Edenred, we will fast-track the transition to sustainable transportation, enabling companies and EV drivers to fulfill their electric mobility ambitions,” said Tore Harritshøj, CEO of Spirii.

Founded in 2019, Spirii was established to enhance global eMobility platform offerings and make EV charging seamless and accessible for all. Currently, the firm is present in more than 18 markets, offering pricing, payment, and energy management services.

Edenred will integrate Spirii’s technologies and solutions to unlock enhanced value to a worldwide customer base already embarking on the electric mobility transition. This acquisition will help the company realize its ambition to become the leading player in electric fleet payment solutions in both Europe and Latin America.

“With this acquisition, Edenred reinforces its commitment to spearheading innovative eMobility solutions and to helping its clients in their electrification transition,” added Diane Coliche, Chief Operating Officer for Mobility at Edenred.

The two founding partners of Spirii, Tore Harritshøj and Torben Fog, will remain shareholders in Spirii and stay in the management team as CEO and CIO.
