The retailer has refurbished convenience stores across Utah and Colorado as part of the over 400 locations acquisition.

Last update:

Maverik has completed 28 Kum & Go rebrandings across the states of Utah and Colorado.

According to a recent report by Des Moines Register, the company announced the news as part of its acquisition of the c-store brand in August of last year. The take over involves a retail network of over 400 convenience stores, as well as sites in construction.

In addition, the company has also finished two locations that Kum & Go was building in Idaho with the new banner.

The initiative is in line with what Chuck Maggelet, CEO of Maverik, said when the purchase was confirmed. The company is set to rebrand Kum & Go sites wherever both brands are operating, which also includes the Wyoming footprint.

In total, 86 stores may undergo a change of banner, with the first ones starting back in last January.

Kum & Go headquarters, now a division of its new owner, still remain in Des Moines, where locations will keep their branding despite the sale.
