WOQOD to increase number of dispensers by 50%

Leading Qatari fuel retailer will begin operations of 30 additional gas stations during 2018.

Eng. Saad Rashed Al Muhannadi, CEO of Qatar Fuel (WOQOD) said that the company has recently floated tenders for the construction of four fuel stations on the Orbital Highway and the new truck road connecting Mesaieed, Hamad Port, Dukhan, Lusail and Al- Khor.

The company has opened eight stations during 2018. The construction work is underway for another 26 permanent and mobile stations, most of which will be opened by the end of the year.

In addition to the construction of new sites, the retailer is also installing more dispensers at existing sites. The number of fuel dispensers is expected to increase by 50% by the end of 2018.

WOQOD has set the target of 120 retail sites by 2020.
