DoorDash is introducing the delivery of beer, wine, and spirits via the DoorDash Marketplace across 20 states in the United States and the District of Columbia, as well as in Canada and Australia. The new service is expected to reach over 100 million customers worldwide, according to a company’s press release.

Customers in select markets, where legally permissible, can browse the DoorDash app and order alcoholic drinks from restaurants, grocery stores, local retailers, and convenience stores.

DoorDash has built an alcohol catalogue including 30,000 SKUs available for purchase across thousands of retailers and restaurants nationally, whether it's to-go drinks from a local restaurant or a celebratory drink from a nearby local store.

Additionally, with the recent roll out of DoubleDash, customers in select markets can now bundle alcohol with their restaurant meal on certain orders.

This news follows a multi-year journey of fulfilling alcohol on-demand delivery for many national and local merchants via their own channels with DoorDash Drive, DoorDash's white-label fulfillment service, says the company.

Founded in 2013, DoorDash is a last-mile logistics technology company that connects consumers with their local and national businesses in more than 4,000 cities and all 50 states across the United States, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
