Avia opens first market Spar format in Poland

The new format offers customers the possibility of completing their daily grocery shopping thanks to a wide array of products offered.

Unimot Group has opened its first Avia gas station with a Spar supermarket that offers full catering service, fresh products and a restaurant.

Located in Wysogotowo near Poznań, the new facility is not only suitable for daily shopping, but also for servicing trucks. Spanning over 250 square meters, the offer includes almost five times as many products as an Spar Express format operating at Avia stations to date.

The facility is also suitable for servicing cars and trucks, thanks to 4 truck service bays, additionally supplemented by an AdBlue distributor. Truck drivers can use a dozen parking spaces, showers and toilets.

The new site is also equipped with charging stations for electric cars, as well as an automatic car wash and a manual car wash (6 stands), plus vacuum cleaners and a compressor.

“The cooperation between the Avia and Spar brands is thriving, as perfectly demonstrated by the opening of a large, supermarket format Spar with a full store and food service offer. Together, we strive to make Avia stations as customer-friendly as possible, and we continue to adapt the solutions we introduce to their needs," says Robert Nowek, Managing Director of the Avia network in Poland and Ukraine.

The number of Spar Express stores across the Avia network has risen to 45. All stores offer coffee and hot meals, sandwiches and casseroles in the Eat&Go area.
