English Español Mexico’s Onexpo says working to help Oaxaca, Guerrero stations without fuel

The Mexican fuel retailer association Onexpo said in a statement issued June 5 that it has kept intense contact with Mexican sole fuel distributor and state oil company Pemex to support its members in the regions of Oaxaca and Guerrero which suffered fuel shortages, even forcing station closures.

Last update:

“Faced with these unfortunate situations which have affected the supply, distribution and sale of fuels in the state of Oaxaca, Onexpo has made efforts led by our new regional vicepresident Marco Bellasina, to help the adoption of actions to reestablish normal operations of the affected service stations,” Onexpo said in its statement.

According to recent press reports from the region as many as eight fuel stations had to close due to a lack of fuel because Pemex has not been able to deliver fuel.

Press reports, already republished by Petroplaza in recent days, have reported that the decision of groups of teachers to block a Pemex fuel terminal caused distribution problems leading to fuel shortages. Other reports have also said that theft at gasoline pipelines in Puebla have also caused problems related to fuel distribution.
