Spain has some of the highest fuel prices in the European Union, the CNMC said.

It added that margins of retailers, however, fell in April, according to the information it tracks.

Demand for fuels in March was 1.3% higher than in the same month a year earlier. The highest prices in Spain are in the northwestern region of Galicia, according to the report.
