Fuel retailer Q8 opened a service station on the A8 Milano-laghi motorway dedicated to the supply of alternative fuels, reports adnkronos. The Q8 Villoresi Est and Est Est petrol station is largely made with recyclable material and powered by renewable energy.

The service station, located in the municipality of Lainate (Milano), was built as part of the "Cre8 - Creating the station of the future" project, developed by Q8 for the promotion of alternative fuels.

The project 'Cre8' involves the construction of 30 multi-fuel service stations and is supported by the European Union with funds from the "Connecting Europe Facility".

In addition to nine traditional fuel supply points, Q8 Villoresi Est offers two LPG and methane supply points and two charging stations for electric cars (50 kW DC and 43 kW AC power), making the station one of only 10 on the Italian motorway network equipped with fast charging points.

"The inaugurated site represents a model of excellence fully integrated into the international Q8 network in Europe. A strategic site, located along one of the main connection routes between Italy and Europe, and one of the most significant investments in the KPI's distribution network, Villoresi Est also demonstrates the interest of the shareholders in strengthening the Q8 brand in the European market - and in particular the Italian market," underlined Giuseppe Zappalà, CEO of Q8 Italia.
