Argentina: AXION energy to install EV chargers in new sites

The company plans to install ten electric recharging points in 2019.

AXION energy announced that its new service stations, as well as those acquired from third parties under the AXION energy brand, will be equipped with chargers for electric cars, reports surtidores.com.ar.

Although all the new sites will have the infrastructure to install an electric recharging point, the plan is to gradually install them as the demand grows.

The company will inaugurate its second service station with an EV charger in less than 30 days.

AXION energy launched this type of service months ago in collaboration with the Italian company Enel.

State support for electric mobility

The National Government of Argentina recently authorized, through Decree 260/2019, foreign importers of electric vehicles to enjoy the same tariff benefits as domestic companies.

The measure of the Executive intends to encourage this type of mobility in pursuit of an energy transition.
