DISA group and Enagás plan to deploy around 30 hydrogen fueling stations for fuel cell vehicles in the Canary Islands, Spain, by 2030. The project is the result of a collaboration between the two groups to promote the production, distribution and commercialization of green hydrogen in the archipelago through the initiative 'Clúster Hub Hidrógeno Renovable Canarias' (Canary Islands Renewable Hydrogen Hub Cluster).

The first six hydrogen stations will be launched in the first phase of the project's implementation, according to a press release.

'Clúster Hub Hidrógeno Renovable Canarias' brings together some twenty public and private entities that are committed to introducing hydrogen solutions for the decarbonization of the energy mix in the Canary Islands. The project will require an investment of 100 million euros in its first phase, with the possibility of reaching 1,000 million euros by 2030.

In addition to the delivery of hydrogen fueling stations, the project foresees the production of green hydrogen at two plants, located on the island of Gran Canaria and the island of Tenerife. The infrastructure planned for this first phase would have a capacity to produce about 1,000 tons of green hydrogen per year, according to DISA.
