Ballenoil, the largest independent refuelling operator in Spain, inaugurated 14 fuel stations in the first half of the year and is planning to open a further 12 stations by the end of 2021. Once opened, Ballenoil's network of fuel stations will reach more than 150 refuelling points, the company reports.

Ballenoil's current projected pace of openings is expected to reach 26 fueling stations by 2021, improving on the company's January forecast which set a target of launching some 20 stations this year.

The new Ballenoil stations offer the company's range of fuels with additives: 'Diesel Excellent', 'No Lead Excellent 95' and 'Diesel Excellent PLUS'. In addition, most of the locations will operate Ballena Azul car washing centres.

Ballenoil allows its customers, both individuals and companies, to use their ID card to pay for refuelling at most of its fuel stations, a solution developed in collaboration with Santander España Merchant Services, the Banco Santander subsidiary that manages the bank's electronic payments.
