Ballenoil, the largest independent refuelling operator in Spain, plans to open 17 fuel stations in the Community of Madrid during the second half of the year, with an investment of around 10 million euros, announced the company.

Ballenoil will focus its expansion plan on the Community of Madrid after having fulfilled its forecasts of reaching 50 locations in the region by the end of 2021. As of June, Ballenoil operated a total of 47 sites in the region.

Ballenoil will reinforce its presence in those urban centres where it already has several refuelling points, concentrating more than two stations in these localities, such as Valverde or San Sebastián de las Reyes, where it operates four stations.

Ballenoil will also enhance the technology at its stations with the aim of facilitating more efficient and faster refuelling. The new stations will be equipped with the company's latest payment solutions, such as Ballenoil Easy Fuel or the payment system designed in collaboration with Santander España Merchant Services.
